Raid Chamois
The weekend of 18th – 19th October 2008 is a date for your diary if you fancy an adventure race with a difference in the Thones area of Haute Savoie, France (near Annecy).
It is the 4th annual incarnation of the Raid Chamois. Teams of 2 or 3 race on foot, mountain bike, paraglider and roller skate (!) between the aravis and Annecy lake. This year there will also be a Newcomers’ course, to open the event up to a greater number of participants. The prizegiving ceremony and meal will be held in the Salle des fetes in the evening, accompanied by a display of images taken throughout the race.
The aim of the event is to have fun and enjoy the great atmosphere, and not on pushing yourself beyond your limits!
if the weather is poor on 18th, the Sunday 19th will be used instead.
