EN to be “the” standard
News from Hans Bausenwein of the Paraglider Manufacturers’ Association is that From January 1st 2009 all paraglider testing will be done as EN testing only, EN will be 100% implemented into LTF. The existing EN will stay for the moment and only has to be defined more exactly in some manoeuvres.
This proposal has arisen from the EN 926 working group meeting that took place in Villeneuve, Switzerland on October 28 2008 and is still dependant on agreement of members of the Round Table at a meeting that will take place on 18 November.
