Lee Garcia wins pre-PWC La Palma
The strong northeasterly wind harrassed competitors and organisers alike at the FAI cat II Open and pre PWC event that was held in La Palma over December 6 – 13.
Despite these difficulties, four limited tasks were held in a sheltered area, and Lee Paul Garcia (Spanish champion 2005 / Sol Tracer) was the overall winner with Juan Carlos martinez (ES / Niviuk Icepeak) second. First woman (of only three competing) and 4th overall was Elisa Houdry (FR / Gin Boomerang).
The organisation were satisfied with the running of the competition despite the poor conditions, and it is now up to Xavier Murillo to decide whether La Palma will indeed be a venue for the 2009 PWC.
