The Nissan Outdoor Games is fast approaching, and the jury have now been selected. They have the difficult task of deciding which team gets the ‘Golden Peak’ award for the best film, the ‘Best Sports Sequence’ and the ‘Jury’s Special award’. There will also be a photo contest during the event. The responsibility is great, with total prize money of $50,000 to be distributed to the 5 teams.
Heading up the jury is French television director, Tristan Carné. Alongside him are olympic snowboard champion Karine Ruby (FR), freeride skiier Glen Plake (US), mountain film director and Chamonix resident Gilles Chappaz (FR), international event organizer for ski and outdoor sports, Dino Raffault (FR) and extreme sports athlete and orthopedic surgeon, Omer Mei Dan (Il).
The public can view the films at 6 pm, Saturday 21 February in the Place du triangle de l’Amitié, Chamonix.

3-8pm: Displays in the Nissan Outdoor Games village in the centre of Chamonix: ice climbing initiation, mountain security sessions, film projections on the giant screen, contests, live concerts, autograph signing sessions, freestyle ski demonstration
4pm: Live concert
4:30pm: Aerial shows (acrobatic paragliding and wingsuit flying)
6pm: Projections of the competition photos on the giant screen in the Nissan Outdoor Games village
6:30pm: Awards ceremony for the Best Photographer of the Nissan Outdoor Games 2009
