New Cuban coastal site
Carlos Olivera of Carolsparaglide, Cuba, would like potential visitors to know that they have secured a new coastal site, Playa Amaril a Canasi, La Habana (near Havana). It has more than 30 km of NNE oriented slope and offers the possibility of ridge runs to Palmarejo (8 km) heading E or to El Fraile (7 km) heading W on days when the sea breeze is constant.
The site is accessible by vehicle, the take off wide and there are several landing options, making it a friendly site. Carlos says it is possible to fly all year, but it is best in the summer when the sea breeze is reliable.
