UP Alpine reversible paragliding harness
The new UP Alpine reversible harness is designed for pilots who like to get themselves to launch on their own two feet. Weighing in at just 2.8kgs (M size, without karabiners) UP recommend you combine it with their lightweight wing, the Pico X-Light, for a superlight fast ascent even on moderately technical routes, or with a standard Pico for travelling and hiking. The backpack makes up one of the chambers of the dual-chambered inflatable airbag, meaning that you have good passive safety even on para-alpinism adventures.
The UP Alpine reversible harness is in stock in all three sizes, with new light UP aluminium twist lock karabiners, weighing less than half (67g) of the standard UP steel karabiners. It is equipped with the Safe-T lock buckle system, still the most secure way of avoiding the dreaded drop from an unclosed harness. UP say that you can add a UP Profile Light reserve to the package and still keep your pack below 10 kg.
