The BaWü Open
The Baden Württemberg Open, Germany, has been a highlight of the German paragliding competition scene for years. Yet again at Whitsun (30 – 31 May) the organisers succeeded in attracting many spectators to the Black Forest, bringing our sport to a wide section of the public. Two tasks of 58·8 and 46·6 km decided the contest. Samuel Blocher was victorious overall with his Advance Omega 7, making him not only BaWü National Champion, but BaWü Open Serial Class winner as well. Hagen Walter (Swing Stratus) was second, and Valeri Regehr (Advance Omega 7) third.
