La Rioja 2009 winners' podium and Hernan Pitocco in flight

Argentinian Hernan Pitocco has won Cap La Rioja 2009, a cross country competition held in La Rioja, Argentina, reminding us all that his paragliding talents are not limited to acro.

Held over 21 – 24 October, four tasks were scored in the FAI cat. II event, and twice Argentinian champion Hernan flew his Sol Tracer to a finish 350 points ahead of Alejandro Anrique (Airwave FR4). Francisco Vargas came third on his Axis Mercury 09.
