Horacio Llorens tumbles to new acro record

Spanish acro paraglider pilot Horacio Llorens has broken the world record for Infinite Tumbles. He executed 281 successive revolutions on Saturday 5 December in Nepal after D-bagging from a helicopter at 5,000 m.

And here’s the proof, in case you should need it:

The previous world record was held by Chrigel Maurer who completed 210 revolutions after jumping from a helicopter above the Black Forest in Germany in June 2009.

The Infinite Tumble is the hardest acro move on a paraglider, and exerts huge force – up to 6 G each rotation – on pilot and equipment.
