Ozone’s Mike Cavanagh wins both Open and Serial class of XC Open Manilla
Ozone managing director Mike Cavanagh has won both the Serial and Open class of the XC Open competition in Manilla aboard a Mantra M3 Serial class paraglider.
Australians Ivan Anissimov (Gin Boomerang 5) and Lindsay Wootten (Gradient Avax XC2) were second and third (Lindsay was second in the serial class). Top ranked woman, in 33rd overall, was Gaynor Schoeman (ZA, Swing Astral 6).
Mark Graham (GB, Axis Vega II) won the Sport class and Jerry Furnell (Aus, Gin Sprint) won the Fun class.
Four out of a possible eight tasks were run, wind or rain resulting in the remaining days being cancelled.
Next stop on the XC Open World Series tour is Piedrahita at the end of August, for the final of the series.
