U-Turn IQ3 reversible paragliding harness
U-Turn have created a lightweight reversible paragliding harness, the IQ3.
The German company say they wanted to created a lightweight harness for hike-and-fly fans with no compromise on safety or comfort for long cross country flights.
The IQ3 has passed EAPR (European Academy of Parachute Rigging) load tests with flying colours for loads of up to 120 kg, yet weighs only 1.3 kg. Adjustible leg loops mean it can be easily put on over boots and crampons, and colour-coded leg and chest straps avoid confusion when fastening.
The deep (35 cm) seat and ergonomic back support ensure even tall pilots are comfortable, and the edges of the leg supports are padded so that they do not dig into the backs of the pilot’s knees.
The rucksack volume is designed to fit a lightweight glider or speed glider (you won’t get your tandem in) and is made from strong, durable Paratex fabric.
