Friends of young French acro pilot and instructor Gregory Fayolle have said a sad farewell to the rising star who died doing what he loved  – acro paragliding – in Spain last month. His funeral was held in Chamonix church on 31 May.

The rising star became French acro vice-champion along with his synchro partner Baptiste Rousset, in 2009.

A spokesman said that photos of his last few days on thie earth, which he spent on holiday with his wife and family, bear testament to his happiness, but nothing can detract from the fact that he left this life too young and too quickly and his passing has left a massive void in the hearts of many.
