Skywalk Cult 3 paraglider harness

Skywalk say their Cult 3 harness is the ‘executive chair’ of paraglider seating, offering “high comfort and perfect fit”. With an ergonomic back and carbon-fibre seat board, Skywalk say the harness has lost weight (4.6 kg now, M size) and gained in comfort.

The Cult 3 is the first serial production harness with which Skywalk have used their AS (automatic separator)-speed system. The system was developed after a fatal accident in which the exit for a bottom-mounted reserve was blocked by the speed bar, which had blown back. When the reserve handle was pulled, the reserve pulled through the speed bar and got tangled (see the picture sequence below, taken from Skywalk’s website). With the AR-system, pulling the reserve automatically releases one half of the speed bar and stirrup, to avoid a repeat of this accident.
