Paraglider Inifinity Tumbling world record holder Horacio Llorens has moved to RR Acro Wings as test pilot, competition pilot and partner.
Brand founder Raul Rodriguez told us, “It’s been planned for a long time but Horacio had a good deal with Sol and, being a new brand, we didn’t have the budget to bring him onboard, but now we’ve found a way by bringing him into the company. It’s great to have our cousin working with us.”
“It was a deal I couldn’t turn down”, said Horacio. “Sol have been very supportive and I have a great relationship with Ary [the boss of Sol] but it’s different being part of a company than being sponsored by one. We’re a close family team with me joining Raul and Barbi as partners. With the death of Alex [Rodriguez] it feels right that we should be working together as a family.
“I’ll be working as a test pilot helping Raul develop the wings. Of course I will also be flying the wings in competition and in my work for Red Bull, and doing all the other things that being part of a business includes. I’m not sure exactly what yet but I’m learning! It’s certainly going to be different from the last ten years.
“We’ve now got our EN C wing, the Rolling, and we’ll be working on a new EN B soon. This will be aimed at pilots leaving school and wanting to learn their first manoeuvres. We also want to make a tandem specially adapted for acro flying.”
