Skywalk Range2 paragliding pod harness
Skywalk’s Range2 is a wind tunnel-optimised competition and cross country pod harness. It comes in 5 sizes (XS to XL) and features a carbon fibre seatboard, ergonomic cockpit and 17 cm foam back protector.
The Range2 is designed for cross country and competition pilots who need to be comfortable for hours at a time in the air. XC pilot Oliver Teubert, who contributed to the design of the Range2, said, “A cross country harness not only has to be exceedingly comfortable, but every detail has to satisfy. When I am approaching 10 hours in the air, I need to feel totally relaxed and without distraction. In addition, the Range2 offers sensational air drag values, a real glide advantage for me!â€
Skywalk took the Range2 to the Daimler Wind Tunnel, where they found it boosted the glide ratio of a Cayenne3 from 9.3 to 9.8, the 9,3 having already been measured from a prone harness.
