Wim Berhoeven has won the Belgian Paragliding Open which took place in Laragne Monteglin, France, from 20- 26 June. He was flying an Ozone Mantra R10, as was second-placed Paul Schmit. In third place on an R10.2 was Didier Ponslet, all three Belgians.
Lithuanian pilot Rasa Grigoraitiene, flying a UP Edge, was first-placed woman, ahead of Karoliina Turppo (FI) on a UP Trango. Third woman and first Belgian woman was Rebecca Guiot, flying a Gradient Aspen 2.
The competition saw four tasks of 48, 72, 76 and 70 km flown, with several pilots in goal on each day except the last, when the task was stopped due to rain.
