XContest Xcamp 2010: a week left for reduced entry fee
Xcontest’s XCamp takes place this year fom 30 August to 5 September. It is to be held in San Potito in the beautiful central Italy, where late summer conditions are usually very consistent and offer good cross country potential, whilst not being too overbearing for recreational pilots.
XCamp is all about stress-free XC flying. It is up to pilots to determine their own routes and turnpoints, although routes will be suggested at the morning briefing for less experienced pilots. Scoring depends on the type of route flown:
Distance over maximum 3 turnpoints: 1 km = 1 point
Distance over a circuit (out and back and triangles): 1 km=1.2 points
FAI triangles: 1 km= 1.6 points
Each pilot’s best three scores will count to the overall result.
The entry fee of 150 Euros is reduced to 120 until 1 August 2010, and there are a maximum of 100 places.
