The Kendal Mountain festival takes place this year from 18 – 21 November, and is now the world’s biggest mountain festival. It celebrates outdoor adventure, the environment and culture through film and lectures, and starting this year is to have an evening dedicated to free flight.
Jocky Sanderson and Steve Scott are organising the Free Flight Night, which they hope will develop into a mini St Hilaire. Included in the evening’s lineup are a talk by Jocky, a font of paragliding knowledge and the man behind Security in flight, Speed to fly and Performance flying. There will also be ‘the Full Mont Blancy’, a presentation by five local pilots on their expedition to climb and fly from Mt Blanc.
Details of the program will be updated on the main festival website.
