Australia’s Gulgong Classic hang gliding competition finished on 27th November, and it was Jonny Durand jnr who lifted the cup again after a nail-biting six-task competition.

Despite winning three of the six tasks, Scott Barrett had to content himself with third place on the podium: not making goal on one day took him out of the top spot. Jonny and Steve Blenkinsop took the top two places in the end.

The tasks ranged in distance from 82.4 to 167.2 km, and generally saw around half of the field in goal, so a good week’s flying for the thirty competitors, 27 of whom were Australian.
