Swing have a new “deluxe learner paraglider”, the EN A Axis 5.
It is targeted at beginner students through to qualified pilots who want to fly cross country with a maximum of passive safety.
Its design has stemmed from the EN B Arcus 6 Compact, which is reflected in the canopy construction, curvature, line layout and materials. It uses flex sticks to support the leading edge.
Swing say the Axis 5 betters its predecessor in several areas: better, more even inflation; higher trim speed; better glide and greater stability throughout the speed range. They say it is also more agile, with good roll and pitch damping.
The Axis 5 is available in 5 sizes covering weights from 65 to 140kg. Four of the sizes have already been certified EN A; the smallest size, 22 m2, is to follow shortly.
