Yoan Castagnoli wins Samoens Speed Riding Cup 2011
Yoan Castagnoli and Laure Gicquel have won the 2011 Samoens Speed Riding Cup and been crowned France’s male and female speed riding champions of 2011.
This, the fourth edition of the Speed Riding Cup, took place at Samoëns, part of the Grand Massif in France’s Haute Savoie, over the weekend of 18 – 19 March.
The freeride events took place at Grande Vans and La Combe de Gers, whilst the slalom was held at Tête des Saix.
38 competitors performed for a jury that included David Eyraud, one of the founders of the sport, and Antoine Montant, the 2010 champion.
