El Yelmo, Andalucia’s free flight festival, takes place from 8 – 10 July 2011.
The paragliding and paramotoring extravaganza and film show is held under the Spanish sun, with the ancient walled village of Segura de la Sierra in the Jaén province of Andalucia as a spectacular backdrop to the aerial activities.
The event’s website is still being updated, but keep an eye on it for details of the films that will be shown in the film festival, which will include the cinema under the stars, and the details of the air displays.
Last year there were a host of big name acro pilots – the Acro Twins, SAT and Just Acro teams were all there – and Mathieu Rouanet regaled the crowds with his paramotor skills.
The event is free for visitors, and promises to be a good, Spanish-style flying party.
