Nicole Fedele in the record books again

Italian Nicole Fedele has submitted a claim for the Speed over a 25km triangular course women’s world record.

Nicole flew her Ozone R10 from Gemona in Italy on 30 March, a total distance of 36km at an average speed of 28.39km/h.

If ratified, she will take the record from Fiona Macaskill (GB), who completed the triangle at an average of 24.5km/h in April 2007.

Nicole is enjoying a position at the top of the XContest women’s rankings at present, too with 15 flights totalling almost 1,200km since 31 October 2010. The list of flights includes the record 256km flown in Brazil in November, which has recently been ratified by the FAI.
