Skytraxx 2.0 is Flugvario's latest paragliding-specific flight instrument
German company Flugvario have released a new all-singing, all-dancing high performance GPS vario specifically for paragliding, the Skytraxx 2.0.
The instrument has 2Gb storage space – plenty of room to hold takeoff information for sites worldwide, airpspace data from 31 countries, and 500 waypoints.
The instrument displays a map on which are overlayed tracklogs, waypoints and airspace details. It can alert you when you are aproaching airspace, horizontally or vertically.
Flights are recorded in IGC format, so you can easily share flights or upload them to online leagues via its USB port or Bluetooth. Its integrated flight book can hold data for up to 10,000 hours’ airtime with recordings at one-second intervals.
The Skytraxx 2.0 costs €398 and can be bought direct from Flugvario’s website.
