Lukasz Wrobel wins big in Cross Country magazine competition
Congratulations to Lukasz Wrobel, who won the special edition Red Bull X-Alps Suunto watch in our Red Bull X-Alps competition in issue 136 of Cross Country magazine.
He sent us this photo of himself and his new watch from western Norway, where, he writes: “Weather’s bad in western Norway – either raining or blowing hard … this is why the photo is on the ground and not in the air.”
Only 864 of the watches were made – one to mark each kilometre of the Red Bull X-Alps 2011 route.
Features include altimeter, depth meter, barometer, and sunrise and sunset times for 40 countries worldwide. It also tells the time.
Lukasz said: “I got addicted to the barometer – not sure how I could have lived without it before.” Poor weather means the altimeter is “not yet tested”.
A limited number of the watches are still available to buy. See the Red Bull X-Alps site for details.
Congratulations Lukasz!
