A fond farewell to Cross Country’s Bob Drury
Cross Country magazine are moving into 2012 with a slightly revamped team, our Executive Editor Bob Drury having left to concentrate on his own exciting new projects.
Amid pats on the back and champagne Bob, who has written for the magazine for donkey’s years and been editor for five, has left the building, and with his partner Sarah will be running Mont Blanc Retreats, a chalet and appartment rental agency in the mountain paradise of Chamonix in France. If you need a place to stay for a holiday in Cham, you know where to look.
We’ve had a great time working with Bob, and we know he’s had a lot of fun too, and he’ll still be on hand to help with writing and reviewing gliders from time to time.
Oh, and don’t worry about us slacking off because of the change – we’ve got great plans for 2012, new talent in the wings and are as busy as ever.
We’re working on the next edition of our Travel Guide right now. The 2012 edition will be a glossy booklet covering 24 more of the world’s top free flying places in the world, and it will be bundled for free with issue 140.
We’re also getting ready to unveil a fresh new look for our website, which is getting more and more hits every day.
So we wish Bob all the very best in his new ventures, and everyone a Happy 2012. See you in the air!
