Two men have pleaded not guilty to charges that they shot at paragliders on a takeoff near Daly City, with high-caliber pellet guns on Saturday.
The men were arrested after pilots flying from the city’s Mussel Rock rang police to say they had been shot at “four or five times” while on lauch, though no-one was hurt.
According to a report in the San mateo Country Times, police SWAT teams found Alex Attard, 38 and Edward Amatori, 49, hiding in brush and two pellet guns nearby.
The men were arrested and are being held in San Mateo County Jail but have denied felony charges. Amatori is already on probation for shooting someone with a pellet gun in San Francisco last summer.
