The second leg of the British Championships starts on 1 July in Pedro Bernardo, Spain.
The site is about 125km from Madrid and the ‘other side’ of Piedrahita. According to organisers, “fantastic thermal activity make Pedro Bernardo a good starting point for performance flights along the Central System during the hot season.” The site record lies at just over 200km.
The week-long comp is one of two that determine the 2012 British Champion. The first leg was held in Meduno, Italy, in May and saw Emile Van Wyk win, just ahead of Jamie Messenger.
