Falling Angels, a film about three friends who Base jump Angel Falls in Venezuela won the grand prize at the El Yelmo film festival at the weekend.
The 32-minute film by director Ana Isabel Dao captured the hearts of judges ahead of 15 other films.
El Yelmo took place over a long weekend from 6-8 July in Andalucia, Space. The annual event is a laid back “mini St Hilaire” and features acro, a hill race, free flying, paramotoring and the film festival as well as a full programme of night time entertainment.

This year organisers hosted the ‘Monumental Acro Competition, which saw acro pilots launch from the top of a nearby castle before competing.
Acro pilot Ant Green said: “The pilots nervously lined up to the edge holding their take-off ordered lottery numbers in their sweaty palms. Luckily the winds were smooth and everyone got off safely.”

Ant was one of the first pilots to take off from the castle walls two years ago, and his film of the flight inspired this year’s acro comp.
The competition was won by Horacio Llorens.
