Marcus King reviews the Nova Mentor 3 in issue 148 of Cross Country magazine.
It’s a hotly anticipated top-end EN B designed for XC pilots who want to fly high and far with the benefit of EN B passive security.
“After my first flight I landed with a big smile on my face: I was excited at the prospect of taking this wing cross country as soon as possible,” says Marcus.
Later he took it out in the late spring thermals of the southern French Alps and on a windy day in Annecy.
“When I landed after two-and-a-half hours in the air, having completed the tour and gone off sightseeing around the Tournette, fellow pilots had already landed complaining about the roughness of the air.
“I, on the other hand, had felt secure. The relaxing ride meant I was able to get the best out of the climbs, making easy decisions on where to head next. I simply relaxed and enjoyed the amazing scenery around me.”
