Stubai Cup 2014: 7-9 March, Austria

The Stubai Cup takes place this weekend, 7-9 March in the Austrian Tyrol.

This three-day event is the first chance European manufacturers have to showcase new designs and products for the upcoming summer season.

Some 20 manufacturers will be there, offering pilots who attend the chance to test fly new gliders and gear.

The event is hosted by the local paragliding school Parafly, with the landing zone transformed into a “fairground” for pilots.

Take off is easily accessible by cable car, allowing pilots to fly and compare wings easily.

The weekend also sees the Stubai Fun Cup, “In which there are only winners,” promise the organisers.

Cross Country will be there over the weekend and will be reporting on what’s new – both here and on our Facebook page. Come and say hello!
