The Oz Report has reported the death of the Israeli hang glider pilot Amir Shalom.

The report says that Amir took his own life last weekend and was laid to rest on Monday.

Amir was a well known figure in the international competition scene, and a “pillar of the Israeli Hang Gliding Association”.

In the short report online, Shmuel Korb says, “Amir’s passing leaves in its wake an emptiness that will be impossible to fill for all those who knew him and were touched by him. May his memory be for a blessing.”
