Lightweight specialists Skyman have released two new lightweight harnesses.
First up, the super-skinny String weighs less than 300g, including AustriAlpin Stratus karabiners and is the ultimate in brevity for mountain descents or hike-and-fly. You can get an airbag and front-mount Ultra-Cross lightweight reserve (925g for loads up to 100kg) for it, as optional extras.
There’s also a new lightweight pod for XC flying, named after a famous X-Alpser. The Coconea Lite is a seat-boarded design with a mousse protector, and a reserve housing for 2.5-6l volumes. It comes with a dedicated instrument cockpit. EN and LTF certified, it’s available in two sizes, weighing 3.6 and 3.8kg, with a choice of three leg cover lengths.
