MacPara revealed a lightweight version of their EN C Elan during the Coupe Icare in September 2014. They say the full-fat version has earned a lot of praise and respect this season, and they are very proud to have unveiled this 1.5kg lighter version, which is for pilots wanting a lightweight wing with “uncompromised performance”.
They say that like the Elan, it has sporty handling and top climb performance, with a good glide across the whole speed range.
MacPara spent eight months experimenting with shark nose profiles, 3D shaping and mini ribs when they designed the Elan, and the final product is “an exceptional glider with clean surface, excellent performance and a wide speed range”, which is comfortable and stable.
The Elan Light is available in six sizes.
