Moyes have informed their customers that the AustriAlpin Delta karabiners they use on their hang glider harnesses have been recalled as a precaution, due to a potential defect.
For the safety of all customers AustriAlpin is issuing an immediate voluntary recall of certain batches of the Austrialpin DELTA karabiner delivered after October 2012. If you own a Austrialpin DELTA karabiner that was purchased after October 2012, please read this notice carefully and follow the instructions. (see Austrialpin_recall_DELTA_carabiner)
The affected DELTA karabiners have article number FD00A with the batch numbers 00001 and Ø0001″
Moyes advise customers who purchased a harness or karabiner from them from between 1st January 2013 and 14th October 2014 to carefully check the karabiner for the batch number.
If yours is among these batch numbers, please return them to AustriAlpin straight away. They will replace them along with a complimentary karabiner as compensation for the shipping cost.
