Icaro have unveiled their new school-and-beyond paraglider – the EN A Pica. With it Icaro promise “easy take-offs and top safety,” to get beginners airborne.
It’s a hybrid three-liner, with just two main lines on each side. This makes line-sorting nice and easy, they say, as is the launch itself – the wing will rise overhead “almost by itself” and won’t overshoot, so it’s very forgiving.
In the air, Icaro say the Pica is compact with great handling. It’s a good thermalling tool, and Icaro say it doesn’t have any tendency to sit back when it enters thermals.
The line layout is such that Big Ears are stable and effective, say Icaro, giving a good descent rate.
The Pica sports Icaro’s new-style sail graphics, the colourful design being taken from a section of their Edelweiss company logo, and it’s available in a choice of three colours and three sizes (24, 26 and 28.5m2).
