Sky Country have announced a new tandem paraglider for powered and unpowered flying, with a specially reinforced version for trikes.
The company say the Escort 2 has a higher aspect ratio than the original, and an optimised line layout which together result in a better glide.
The Escort 2 is built in a ‘traditional’ style – Sky Country say they avoided rods in the leading edge, preferring Mylar which they say makes the wing quicker to pack, an important consideration for professional tandem pilots. It is fitted with trimmers whose straps can be replaced if they become worn after many hours’s airtime.
The Escort 2 will be available in three sizes and nine (yes, nine) colours. It is currently certified EN B in the 41m2 size, with trimmers both open and closed.
The wing coincides with Sky Country’s achievement of 20 years in the paragliding industry, and they have unveiled a new logo to take them forwards into the future.
