U-Turn say their new Redout, a wing which combines freestyle elements with performance, belongs in a category that they would best describe as ‘freeride.
A sporty and dynamic wing, they say the Redout also has outstanding glide and thermals very efficiently, making it a real crossover wing, as perfect for soaring as for acro training as for thermalling.
It was designed for “dynamic flying fun” with good safety, and they say it is a great beginners’ acro wing. Though precise and direct to handle, it will forgive imperfect timing, and all classic acro manoeuvres, with the exception of infinite tumbling, can be performed on it, U-Turn say.
The Redout has four levels of lines, each with three main lines per riser and their Stabilo Security Function (SSF), a rubber line fixed on the riser to access the stabilo line quckly if necessary.
Designed and built for durability, U-Turn say it uses all tried and tested materials and reinforced seams, line suspensions and v-tapes.
The Redout is available now in sizes 19m² and 21m². The 19 size is certified LTF/EN C for 50-90kg, and LTF/EN D for 90-115kg; the 21m2 size is LTF/EN D for 100-120kg.
