Belgian pilot Laurent Faniel flew a 127.1km FAI triangle on his tandem Nervures Diamir ForTwo from Allevard, France, on 21 April 2015.
The flight took 7 hours at an average speed of 18.5km/h, and is one of 212 cross-country flights recorded in the French league that day – a Tuesday!
If ratified by the FAI, this will be a new world record, beating Claudio Cattaneo’s (CH)’s June 2013 record by 11km.
