German paramotorist Armin Appel has won the coveted Open Photographer of the Year title in Sony’s annual World Photography Award for 2015.
His winning photograph above, selected from 80,000 entires, is entitled ‘Schoolyard’. The abstract composition was taken from his paramotor above the town of Biberach an der Riss in Germany.
Armin, who flies a Dudek Hadron, wins the latest Sony digital imaging equipment plus a $5,000 cash prize.
