British pilot Andrew Williams won the tenth annual Ozone Chabre Open, which finished on 10 July 2015.
Clearly having a very good day, Andrew also won a brand new Ozone paraglider in the prize draw, which he generously decided to auction for charity, the proceeds being donated to a Parkinsosn’s disease research charity.
The first woman, fourteenth overall, was Catherine Bartholdi. An experienced pilot in a friendly competition aimed at new-to-competition pilots, Catherine also made a generous gesture and stood down from the podium, passing the trophy and prizes to the next woman, which was Verena Puttrich (DE, 23rd overall).
Competitors enjoyed hot, dry weather and not a drop of rain in the week-long competition. Four “interesting and fun” tasks saw plenty of happy pilots in goal on all days.
