The Cross Country Team are embedded with the Red Bull X-Alps this year, providing media support and on-the-spot analysis as well as reporting from the road.
Cross Country Magazine editor Ed Ewing is joint editor-in-chief with Tarquin Cooper from Zooom Productions. Zooom Productions is the media agency behind the Red Bull X-Alps. Together they will be working from Red Bull Media House in Salzburg, helping to bring the race alive online.
Cross Country publisher and former editor Hugh Miller is once again acting as race reporter for the Red Bull X-Alps. He’ll be on the road with independent photographer Jerome Maupoint, filing stories from the front of the pack and providing analysis and comment.
And Former Red Bull X-Alps athlete and supporter Tom Payne has been drafted in to add extra coverage – he’ll be providing analysis on strategy and tactics, as well as taking on the race reporter role in the second half of the race.
The Cross Country team will be working through Red Bull media channels – there are a lot! If you’ve not found them yet, you’ll find Red Bull X-Alps online, on Facebook, on Twitter, on Instagram and on YouTube.
The race starts on Sunday 5 July at 10am, with full Live Tracking updating every second. Race reports will be uploaded and refreshed every 15 minutes, with content being streamed and curated from athletes, 12 on-the-road video crews and four pro photographers from 5am to 10pm every day.
