France’s Maxime Bellemin, with passenger Laurie Genovese, have filed a claim with the FAI for a World and European record for ‘Speed over a triangular course of 25km’.
They flew a Sky Metis 3 from Montclar, France, on 6 September 2015, completing the triangle at an average speed of 27.66km/h.
If their claim is ratified, they will take the World record from Burkhard Martens and passenger, who have held it since June 2001 with a speed of 27.1km/h.
