Switzerland’s Stefan Wyss won the Paragliding World Cup Superfinal 2015 in Valle de Bravo, Mexico after a competition that saw eight good tasks.
Stefan won four of those eight tasks, stamping his authority across the competition.
Julien Wirtz (FR) was second overall and Luca Donini (IT) was third.
Seiko Fukuoka Naville (FR) won the women’s class, with Laurie Genovese (FR) and Emanuelle Zufferey (CH) in third. It was a brilliant end to Seiko’s 215 season – she started the year winning the women’s class in the Paragliding World Championships in Colombia and set the new women’s paragliding world record in Australia in December.
In the Nations table, Switzerland came out top, with France and Italy second and third.
Wing-wise, with no major developments in the competition wings in use Ozone and GIN dominated. The Ozone Enzo 2 took five of the six main podium spots.
The Superfinal brings the 2015 Paragliding World Cup season to a close. The 2016 season kicks off in Castelo, Brazil in April.
