GIN update “classic intermediate” Sprint 3

Friday 13 May, 2016

GIN Sprint 3

GIN’s Sprint 3 is their new “classic intermediate” paraglider, for leisure, club and cross-country pilots, designed to “hit the sweet spot” for the majority of pilots.

It’s undemanding and comfortable to fly, yet sporty enough to be fun. And if you’re in the mood to eat up the XC kilometres, you’ll find plenty of performance under the gas pedal!

GIN say they’ve given the Sprint 3 the balance of handling, comfort, stability and performance that they think appeals to most pilots, and say the resultant wing is confidence-inspiring and fun, with direct handling and a high top speed for its class.

It’s pleasantly light at 4.5kg (M), but made from durable 38g/m² and 32g/m² Porcher Skytex on the top and bottom surfaces, and has fully sheathed main and mid lines.

Weight has been saved by removing some of the longer reinforcements from the top surface, compensating with the addition of a trailing edge support that fits over the C attachment points, and by reducing the use of nose plastic and internal cross-ports, which also makes it easier to pack.

The Sprint 3 has C-riser steering. It is available in six sizes, for 50-135kg all-up.
