The Amiga 2 is a new EN-B tandem from Pro Design, designed with input from pro tandem pilots and intended for professional use.
Pro Design say the Amiga 2 has balanced handling and good in-flight stability, excellent launch behaviour (“No hanging back, no overshooting and no dive after launching”), moderate brake pressure and a good trim speed.
It is lighter than the original (7.6kg according to the technical specs) and packs down smaller. The cloth has a new coating for better porosity resistance and increased longevity. Longevity is also aided by the A and B line attachments, which are all to V-ribs.
Pro Design say the Amiga 2 is easier to groundhandle and launch than the original. Its stall point is late and easy to recognise.
It’s available in one size (41m²) for all-up weights of 120-220kg, and delivered with spreaders with removable bars.
