Helmut Eichholzer and Chris Reinecker launch from the Gaisberg, 1,300m, above the city of Salzburg, Austria, and fly 60km to land on the Dachstein Glacier.
Packing skis and crampons they climbed to the summit, skied down the other side, and then bivvied the night. In the morning they launched onto the south face at 10am and soared the mountain to 3,200m before flying back to topland the Gaisberg. “An amazing flight… There are only few days in spring, when things like this are possible!” said Helmut.
