SAM stands for ‘Safe Attractive Multiglider’, and it’s the name of Simplify PPG’s first wing, an EN-A /DGAC-approved wing for all uses.
Simplify call the Sam a ‘sport cruiser’, and say it’s for “all pilots who are looking for a high-end A-class wing of the latest generation, which is excellently suited for engine-flights”.
They say it has very easy launch characteristics and passive safety. It’s a 36-cell design with a simple line layout and a trimmer-block system for free-flight use.
Based on U-Turn’s EN-A Emotion 3, Sam is EN-A certified, and DGAC approved for motiorised flight. Simplify say it’s ideal whatever your preferred method of propulsion: thermals, electric booster or paramotor.
It’s made from Dokdo 20 and 30 fabrics, and the orange, white and black sail is the company’s trademark colour scheme, with a striking cross design on the top surface. The Sam is available in three sizes, S, M and L.
