Advance have announced that a new professional tandem paraglider is on its way. The Bibeta 6 is due for release in November 2016.
Advance worked closely with professional tandem pilots in Interlaken in its development, extensively refining prototypes until the professionals’ expectations of take-off, handling and landing characteristics had all been exceeded.
The BiBeta 6 will be available in two sizes, 38m² and 41m², for take-off weights of 100-180kg and 120-225kg. The wing is very compact and light for a robust tandem – 6.75kg and 6.95kg in the two sizes.
There are only three riser levels and few lines, so launch preparation is simplified, and the model retains Advance’s big-ears Vary-Grip system.
Advance say the first BiBeta 6 will be delivered in November, just in time for the winter season.
