Profly, the Professional Flying Team, have released their first paraglider. Lucy is an all-round freestyler, aimed at pilots who want to safely progress in acro flying.
The team say Lucy is performant and dynamic, with precise, fun handling, for freestyle, acro, strong-wind soaring and even short cross-country flights.
Profly say they wanted to create a glider that is safer than most of the other freestyle wings on the market, so that pilots can progress their skills with confidence. They say the Lucy’s reaction to pilot errors are gentle, and brake travel is long.
Lucy will be available in 21m² and 18m² sizes. Profly say the relatively small surface means good agility, while the mini-ribs and 3D shaping offer good aerodynamic performance.
The Professional Flying Team, with designer Michael Nesler at the helm, have been designing and testing paragliders and other equipment for years, as well as doing acro shows and events. They are the team behind the Acrobatics book.
Why Lucy? The name is inspired by Luc Besson’s film of the same name.
One million years ago – approximately – we were given life. Make the best of it!
